Sýpka Cottage
Sýpka, the old granary, stands at the highest point of the yard and is the oldest building on the farmstead. Its walls go back to around 1600. Today it is a cosy cottage for 10 guests with a fireplace, a terrace and its own gazebo.
About
Granaries on old farmsteads always stood on the driest, highest ground, because that is where grain kept best. Ours is no exception: from the terrace you can see the whole yard and the meadows around it. When we rebuilt it, we kept the thick walls and the timber and added the comfort you expect from a holiday cottage today.
The cottage has three bedrooms for 3, 3 and 4 guests, two bathrooms and a spacious dining room where the whole group fits around one table. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can cook for several days. It is heated by a fireplace. In the evening you sit on the terrace or in your own gazebo with a glass of wine.
Sýpka is ideal for two or three families or a group of friends. Children have plenty of room to play in the yard, and dogs are welcome by arrangement.
